Indian Times: Indian Health Care Improvement Act (Mar 07, 2008)
On Indian Times this weekend, Susan Shannon reports on the recent Indian Health Care Improvement Act passed in the U.S. Senate by a vote of 83 to 10. Among the 10 who voted ?no? were Oklahoma's U.S. Senators. Kurt Gwartney reports on Congressman Dan Boren?s proposed legislation that calls for a formal apology from the U.S. government to American Indians for centuries of misdealings.

We also hear about the grand opening of the Eugene B. Adkins Collection of Taos art and Native American art from Dr. Mary Jo Watson, Director of the OU Art School. She is joined by the new Director of the Fred Jones Jr Museum of Art, Ghislain d?Humieres. The Adkins Collection will be on display through December.
