Indian Times: Cherokees Developing First National Park (Jul 24, 2009)
This week on Indian Times, the Cherokee Nation is in the process of developing its first national park. The park contains the last surviving courthouse of the Cherokee Nation, the Teehee Family cemetery and a ?spring? house. Lisa Melchior, president of the Saline Preservation Association, will talk about the Saline District Courthouse, which is 125 years old and the last standing historical courthouse of the Cherokee.
