Indian Times: Cherokee Nation Will Not Reopen Blue Ribbon Downs (Feb 27, 2010)
This week on Indian Times, the Cherokee Nation decides to not reopen Blue Ribbon Downs as a race track, instead they want to open it as a horse training facility.

The Black Hawk Blues Band returns with the new CD Indian Casino. The band’s lead singer and songwriter, Batiste Jones (Ponca/Otoe-Missouria), has been playing music since the late 1960s when he fronted the all-Native band Bo-Dock. Jones talks about the band’s two year hiatus and the difficulties of getting back in the studio to record. Their next gig will be March 14th at Oklahoma City's Blue Note.
