This week on Indian Times, an intense workshop took place at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History in Norman. It was called the Breath of Life workshop designed to help Native American tribes with reviving languages even after there are no fluent speakers left. We?ll hear from Dr. Mary Linn, Curator of Native Languages at the Sam Noble Museum and Daryl Baldwin, Director of the Myaamia Project and we?ll hear from some of the participants in the workshop: Eula Doonkeen from the Natchez Nation (pictured above with Chief Hudke Fields), Jim Hopper from the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and Tracy Moore from the Osage Nation Language program. For more information on this workshop you can call Dr Mary Linn at 325-7588 or take a look at the Myaamia Project at myaamiaproject.org.
