Oklahoma Voices: Reviewing the 2007 Oklahoma Legislative Session (May 25, 2007)
With a Democratic Lt. Governor, a Republican House leader soliciting ideas from constituents, and the State Senate evenly divided along party lines, no one knew quite what to expect from the 2007 Oklahoma Legislative Session. Some political observers had high hopes for bi-partisanship, but critics warned that this would be a budget only session because controversial bills would be unable to garner enough Senate votes to pass. So was that the case?
