Gov. Brad Henry’s State of the State Address (Feb 04, 2008)
The 2008 Oklahoma legislative session officially begins today with Governor Brad Henry’s annual State of the State address to a joint session of the House and Senate. Henry’s proposals include raising teacher salaries by about $1200 per teacher and earmarking gross production taxes to help build a one billion dollar research fund that would be used to create jobs. Other issues include money for education, healthcare, highways and prisons.
