OK Voices: Candidates Speak on Children's Issues (Oct 19, 2009)
Oklahoma voters have another nine months before they can cast their first ballots in the race for Governor Brad Henry's replacement. But the two Democratic candidates, Lieutenant Governor Jari Askins and Attorney General Drew Edmondson, have already faced off, presenting their views on the future health and well being of Oklahoma's children at the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy's fall legislative forum. Republican gubernatorial candidates U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin and State Senator Randy Brogdon were also invited, but unable to attend last week's event. Alex Cameron, director of Statewide Special Content Projects for Griffin Communications and leader of the Oklahoma Impact Team, served as moderator. Special thanks to the audio/visual department at the University of Central Oklahoma for recording assistance.
