Oklahoma Voices: Remembering Ned Hockman (Jan 25, 2010)
Longtime University of Oklahoma professor Ned Hockman died Dec. 20, 2009 at the age of 88 after an extended illness. The founder of the University of Oklahoma's Film and Video Studies Program taught both FVS and journalism courses from 1949-1987. He also served as a combat cameraman in the China-Burma-India theatre of operations in World War II, directed and produced the first theatrical film shot entirely in Oklahoma, and covered OU sports as the official photographer for OU Athletics. KGOU interviewed Hockman in 2006, and pulled excerpts from that interview along with recollections by friends, former students, and colleagues.
