Residents of Norman Trailer Park Fear Re-zoning (Nov 22, 2005)
The Norman City Council considers a re-zoning measure that could displace more than one hundred residents from the Sooner Mobile Home Park to make way for the construction of apartments and townhouses. Some residents say low income people are being squeezed out of Norman’s expensive housing market, but park owners respond that its sale and re-zoning are inevitable because the park had been losing money every year.
