Capitol View Housing Association Revitalizes Homes (Dec 13, 2005)
Several years ago, a group of concerned citizens in northeast Oklahoma City came together to make their neighborhood a better place, one house at a time. With the help of private investors, they raised some money and began revitalizing alleged crack houses and empty lots, in hopes of improving the quality of life for their community. The Capital View Housing Association has set a goal of renovating one house a year, and it just completed its 2005 project. KGOU’s Susan Shannon took a tour recently of this year’s house. Guests include President of the Association Lenardo Smith and one of his investors, Daniel Henson (4:00).
