Recognizing Hunger in Oklahoma (Jun 07, 2006)
On the occasion of National Hunger Awareness Day – which was marked earlier this week – we take a look at the state of hunger here in Oklahoma. Reports released late last year by the USDA and Brandeis University indicate that Oklahoma has the highest rate of hungry households (5.6%) in the nation. We examine some possible causes as well as solutions.
