2007 Farm Bill’s Effect on Oklahoma (Mar 02, 2007)
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are beginning work on the 2007 Farm Bill. President Bush is proposing cuts in the subsidy system to fund development of renewable fuels. KGOU’s Washington correspondent Terry Gildea reports on how Oklahoma Congressman Frank Lucas and others hope the bill will protect the interests of Oklahoma farmers. Other guests include Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Steve Kouplen, Altus farmer Matt Muller and Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee chairman Charlie Meadows (4:00).
