Air Quality Alert (Aug 14, 2007)
Each year Oklahoma City and Tulsa struggle to keep their skies in compliance with federal clean air regulations. Association of Central Oklahoma Governments spokesman Jerry Church came into the KGOU studios in advance of the first ozone alert to discuss the air that we breathe. Oklahoma City violated clean air standards 16 times in 2006. Officials hope by doing better this year, they can avoid being placed on the EPA’s dirty air list.
