Women from Afghanistan Visit Oklahoma (Sep 09, 2007)
Although the Taliban is no longer in power, female business owners in Afghanistan continue to face discrimination, violence and threats of violence. Still, theyíve made enormous strides, and their bravery and determination are unparalleled. Five Afghan women spent the past week visiting Oklahoma as part of a six-week business training and mentorship program co-sponsored in part by the US State Department and the Oklahoma City-based Women Impacting Public Policy Institute. We speak to participant and surgeon Hasina Rasuli and WIPP President Terry Neese (4:00).

Listen to more interviews with the group of Afghan women, as well as Terry Neese and State Senator Kathleen Wilcoxson
