Cattle Drive Marks
140th Anniversary of Chisholm Trail (Sep 23, 2007)

Pulling covered wagons and camping each night under the stars, about two dozen people are participating in a month-long cattle drive of 450 longhorns from the Red River north through Oklahoma to Caldwell, Kansas. Theyíre taking a step back in time to mark the anniversary of the trail as well as the stateís centennial. The team camped at Fort Reno this weekend before leaving early this morning for Okarche. They hope to arrive in Enid by the end of the week. We speak to cattle drover Carmen Shultz.
