Kiowa Tribe Honors War-Bound Member (Oct 21, 2007)
KGOU’s Susan Shannon joins us to talk about one of her daughter’s best friends, Warren Queton, who’s being deployed to Irag with the Oklahoma National Guard’s 45th Infantry Brigade. Warren is a Kiowa Indian and was inducted into the Black Leggins Warrior Society earlier this month in Anadarko. Susan, her daughter and niece attended the ceremony at Warren’s invitation. This ceremony is meant to honor him through song and prayers for his safe return. View a photo slideshow of the ceremony.
