Koran Comments Draw Fire (Nov 14, 2007)
Some lawmakers in Oklahoma have turned down free copies of the Koran from a state panel on diversity. The move comes after a Tulsa legislator claims the Muslim holy book condones the killing of innocent people. Islamic groups say they're disturbed by the statement and say they need to do a better job of educating Americans about the Koran. Guests include State Representative Rex Duncan (R- Sand Springs), President of the Governor’s Ethnic American Advisory Council Marjan Seirafi-Pour, Oklahoma Interfaith Alliance head Jeff Hamilton and Oklahoma City Islamic Center worshipper Jeffrey Clifford.
