Congress to Reconsider “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (Mar 17, 2008)
Opponents of the ban on military service by openly gay soldiers are lobbying Congress to drum up support for a House bill to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” The bill currently has 142 co-sponsors, but what are its prospects for coming to a vote and passing? We hear from two members of Oklahoma’s Congressional delegation who are not so eager to rock the boat. Guests: Veteran and anti-D.A.D.T. campaigner Kathy Stickel, Democratic House Armed Services committee member Rep. Dan Boren and Republican Armed Services committee member Rep. Tom Cole.
