Keeping Sex Offenders Out of Nursing Homes (Jul 24, 2008)
Last month, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry signed a new law to separate sex offenders from other residents in state nursing homes. Now Congress is looking into whether it can be duplicated nationwide. Jodi Breisler reports on yesterday’s hearing on Capitol Hill. Guests include Congresswoman Mary Fallin, Sandra Thurston Banning, Oklahoma City activist Wes Bledsoe, State Representative Kris Steele and Tom Coble, whose company runs nursing home facilities in Southern Oklahoma.
