IN-DEPTH: Plains Apache Ethnobotany by Julia Jordan (Mar 30, 2009)
KGOU’s Susan Shannon attended a workshop on the plant lore of the Plains Apache at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History in Norman. The workshop was taught by Julia Jordan, author of the newly released book Plains Apache Ethnobotany, published by OU Press. She is pictured above with Alonzo Chalepah, Chairman of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. His paternal grandmother was a contributor to Jordan’s work.
