In-Depth: Common Education Funding Cuts Lead to Closures, Layoffs (Jun 11, 2010)
General revenue fund collections missed estimates so badly in Fiscal Year 2010, state lawmakers rewrote the education budget in March with reduced funding. Residents in Boley voted last month to consolodate their school district with Okemah, and Oklahoma City Public Schools plans to let go more than 100 teachers and close three elementary schools. As KGOU's Logan Layden reports, the next fiscal year could be even worse.
