Feds Indict Store Owners for Food Stamp Fraud (Oct 15, 2010)

Federal prosecutors say two Oklahoma City-area convenience store owners have been indicted for food stamp fraud.

In two separate indictments unsealed Thursayd, Muluneh Zeleke and Muhammad Zahid, are accused of defrauding the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP program.

A news release from the U-S Attorney’s office says the two are responsible for nearly $1.9 million dollars in illegal charges to the nutrition program.
