OKC Applewood Mobile Home Park Under Boil Order (Oct 20, 2010)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality is advising residents of an Oklahoma City mobile home park that E. coli has made the drinking water there unsafe for human consumption.

DEQ officials said Wednesday that the boil advisory for Applewood Mobile Home Park was issued after water samples indicated the presence of the bacteria.

Officials recommended that residents vigorously boil their water for one minute before drinking, using in food preparation, washing dishes or brushing teeth.

The boil advisory will remain in effect until the water system ensures that chlorination can be adequately maintained and that samples indicate the water is free from E. coli.
