OU Regents Approve Bond (Oct 28, 2010) University of Oklahoma regents have approved $48 million in bonds to help fund two construction projects. Most of the money, $40 million, will be used to build a new office building near the National Weather Center. OU President David Boren says the new structure is fully leased by private companies even though there is no building yet. Another $8 million will go toward repairing infrastructure at OU, including roads. Regents also voted to approve contract extensions and pay raises for O-U’s baseball coach, softball coach and most of the Sooners’ football assistant coaches. The board also approved a $500,000 construction increase for the new Stuart Wing of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. « back |
