Forbes magazine has picked the Oklahoma City Metro as the number one most affordable city in the nation.

According to a news release from the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, the area’s low unemployment rate and affordable housing prices were the main reasons for its rise to the top of the list.

No other city in the region made the list of top five cities. Forbes has also previously honored Oklahoma City as one of the top five fastest growing cities in the country.
