Hearing on Islamic Law State Question Today (Nov 08, 2010)
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A hearing will be held this morning in an Oklahoma City federal court over a request for a temporary injunction against a state constitutional amendment that prohibits state courts from considering Islamic law. The Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma says the measure approved by voters last week turns Oklahoma's Constitution into "an enduring condemnation" of Islam.
