Indian Times: Former Miss Oklahoma Susan Supernaw (Nov 06, 2010)

This week on Indian Times,  Susan Supernaw was the dark horse candidate that became Miss Oklahoma in 1971.  She has a new book out about her life leading up to that experience, its called “Muscogee Daughter, My Sojourn to the Miss America Pageant.” It tells the unvarnished truth of what it took to survive domestic violence, alcoholism and poverty, on her way to becoming Miss Oklahoma and a  Miss America contestant.
