TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Outgoing Oklahoma House Speaker Chris Benge has been named to a post in the administration of Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett.

Bartlett said in a news release that Benge will become director of intergovernmental and enterprise development for the city.

Benge was elected House speaker in 2008. He was prevented by term limits from running for re-election to the House and will take over his new job in Tulsa on Wednesday.

The news release said Benge will help plan and implement
