Oklahoma Voices: The Kennedy Assassination - 24 Hours After (Nov 22, 2010)
47 years ago, on a warm, sunny afternoon on the streets of Dallas, an assassin's bullet felled the 35th President of the United States.  November 2010 also marks the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's presidential election.  On this episode of Oklahoma Voices, we'll hear from University of Oklahoma history professor Dr. Steven Gillon.  He spoke to KGOU's Brian Hardzinski in 2009 about his book The Kennedy Assassination: 24 Hours After, which is now out in paperback.  Gillon's book examines the first full day of Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency, and how every decision LBJ made was based on his fear of two men closest to his slain predecessor, and concern for the American people.
