Former Quest CFO Sentenced to 16 Years in Prison (Nov 29, 2010)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The former chief financial officer of an Oklahoma energy company today was sentenced to 16 years in prison for wire fraud.

Federal prosecutors announced Monday that 58-year-old David Grose of Edmond also was ordered to serve three years of supervision after his release, forfeit $1 million in assets, and pay $1 million in restitution to the company.

Grose worked as CFO of Quest Energy Partners LP from 2004 to 2008. He was convicted in February on three counts of wire fraud. Prosecutors claim Grose defrauded Quest out of $1 million for a personal investment he made.

A telephone message left Monday with Grose's attorney was not immediately returned.

Two other former Quest officials already have been sentenced to prison in related cases, including former CEO Jerry Dale Cash.
