Fallin Names Chamber Official to Head Tulsa Office (Dec 07, 2010)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov.-elect Mary Fallin has named a Tulsa Metro Chamber official to serve as director of the governor's Tulsa office.

Fallin announced Tuesday that Wendy Taylor Gregory will oversee the Tulsa office and represent Fallin at events in Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma. Outgoing Democratic Gov. Brad Henry has a similar position under his administration.

Gregory will assume the post on Jan. 10, when Fallin is sworn in as Oklahoma's first female and 27th governor.

Gregory most recently worked as program manager at the Tulsa Metro Chamber, where she helped develop the organization's legislative agenda. She previously served as legislative director to U.S. Rep. John Sullivan and as an aide to the Tulsa City Council.
