Fallin, Okla. Legislative Leaders Talk Policy (Dec 08, 2010)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov.-elect Mary Fallin and leaders of the Republican-controlled Oklahoma Legislature discuss the upcoming legislative session during a forum in Oklahoma City.

The incoming Republican governor and legislative leaders from both parties participated Wednesday in The State Chamber's annual Public Affairs Forum. Participants include Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Shulz, R-Altus, Senate Democratic Leader Andrew Rice, D-Oklahoma City, House Speaker-elect Kris Steele, R-Shawnee, and House Democratic Leader Scott Inman, D-Del City.

Fallin will deliver the keynote address during the luncheon. State leaders are expected to have a budget hole of about $400 million when they return to the state Capitol in February for the 2011 session.

Fallin has said her top priorities will be creating a business friendly environment in Oklahoma and reducing the size of state government.
