State Lakes Host Eagle Watches (Jan 03, 2011) It’s the time of year to see a bald eagle in Oklahoma. The best place to view the national symbol is at one of the state’s many lakes. Watches at Lake Thunderbird led by a naturalist are Jan. 8from 1-4 p.m. And then again January 22nd at the same time. The watch events take place at Discovery Cove Nature Center, off Highway 9, 15 miles east of I-35 at the Clear Bay entrance. More viewing opportunities are online at the Oklahoma Dept. of Wildlife Conservation’s eagle watch web page. « back |
