Arrest Made in Norman Vehicle Fires (Jan 25, 2011)

The Norman Fire Marshal’s office has arrested a teenager as part of their investigation into a string of vehicle fires.

The 15-year-old boy is suspected of starting several car fires in the neighborhood near 222 Skylark Court.

Oklahoma City television station KFOR reported yesterday the teenager arrested in the case is believed to be a resident of the Lexington Crossing Park for mobile homes.

Norman Fire Department officials say his arrest is related to seven cars being set afire in the neighborhood in the past week. Fire officials say they don't know if the teenage suspect acted alone.
