Possible Blizzard Monday Night, Tuesday (Jan 31, 2011)

Blizzard conditions are expected Monday Night and Tuesday and Gov. Mary Fallin has declared a state of emergency for all 77 Oklahoma counties as a storm system moves toward the southern Plains and even colder air approaches from Canada.

Snow, sleet and some freezing rain associated with the storm will likely have significant impacts to travel and commerce Monday night into Tuesday.

The very cold air combined with strong north winds will produce bitterly cold wind chill values along with considerable blowing and drifting of snow.

Well below average temperatures are expected into the later part of the work week.
