Oklahoma Voices: Governor Candidates Discuss Education, Immigration (Jun 16, 2010)
Four of the six candidates vying to be Oklahoma's next governor met for a forum June 16 at Oklahoma City University. Jari Askins, Drew Edmondson, Robert Hubbard, and Roger Jackson were joined by the contenders to be the next state Superintendent of Public Instruction: Jerry Combrink, Susan Paddack, Larry Huff (Democrats), Janet Barresi, Brian S. Kelly (Republicans), and Richard E. Cooper (Independent). The candidates addressed education issues extensively, but also touched on immigration and the continued state budget crisis that will likely continue into the next legislative session. Gubernatorial candidates Mary Fallin and Randy Brogdon were invited but did not attend Wednesday's forum. KGOU presents the audio from the event in its entirety. They're the second and third MP3 files.
