Tom Lee Named DA for Payne, Logan Counties (Feb 18, 2011)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Gov. Mary Fallin has named Assistant District Attorney Tom Lee to serve as district attorney for Logan and Payne counties.

Fallin appointed Lee on Friday to replace former DA Robert Hudson, who resigned to take a position in the Oklahoma Attorney General's office.

Lee served as a police officer in Stillwater and an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper before joining the district attorney's office. In 2010, he was named Oklahoma's Outstanding Assistant District Attorney by the Oklahoma District Attorneys Association.

Fallin says Lee will bring a unique perspective to the DA's office because of his law enforcement career.

Lee has a bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University. Lee served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.
