Two Oklahoma City Council candidates backed by the Sooner Tea Party were defeated in Tuesday’s election.

Incumbents Meg Salyer and Pat Ryan were re-elected. But council member Brian Walters lost his seat to David Greenwell.

The Ward 2 position left vacant by Sam Bowman, who decided not to seek re-election, will be decided in an upcoming runoff election between Charlie Swinton and Ed Shadid.

That election is April 5th.
