Indian Times: 97th Annual OU Spring Contest Powwow (Apr 09, 2011)

This week on Indian Times:   Corey Still (Keetowah  Cherokee) is  the vice president of the American Indian Student Association (AISA) at the University of Oklahoma.  He came by the KGOU studios to speak about the 97th Annual OU Spring Contest powwow.  It will be held at the Lloyd Noble Center next Saturday, April 16, in Norman, doors open at 1pm, gourd dancing at 2pm with supper served at 5pm. The crowning of the new Miss Indian OU will be held before Grand Entry at 7pm.  Stadium seating is available so no outside chairs or strollers will be allowed.  This event is free and open to the public.
