Tribes May Sue Over Sardis Lake (Apr 11, 2011)
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Records show that two of Oklahoma's largest American Indian tribes are threatening to sue Oklahoma City and the state as part of a dispute over Sardis Lake. The city and state agreed to a $42 million deal last year that gives Oklahoma City storage rights to 90 percent of the southeastern Oklahoma lake. The Chickasaw Nation and Choctaw Nation opposed that deal.
