Man Denies Involvement in Pharmacy Shooting (Apr 29, 2011)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — One of two men accused of planning the robbery in which a teen-aged would-be robber was shot to death says he had nothing to do with the crime.

Emanuel Mitchel testified Friday in the first-degree murder trial in which he and Anthony Morrison are charged in the death of 16-year-old Antwun Parker. The two are accused of planning the robbery and are charged under a state law that allows a murder conviction if an accomplice dies during a crime.

Mitchell said he didn't know Parker and that Morrison also had no role in the crime.

Mitchell said witnesses who put him at the scene targeted him because of his previous convictions that include kidnapping and robbery with a firearm.

Parker was killed by a pharmacist during the robbery.
