Oklahoma Reaction to Bin Laden's Death (May 02, 2011)

The death of Osama bin Laden is the answer to the prayer of an Oklahoma woman whose son was killed in the September 2001 terror attacks.

Pat Moss of Sperry says that she's never thanked God for a death - but said her prayer that bin Laden no longer be on earth has been answered.

Moss' son - Naval Petty Officer Brian Moss - was killed when a plane crashed into the Pentagon Sept. 11. 2001.

Reaction to the news of Bin Laden’s death is coming in from Oklahoma officials and groups.

4th District Congressman Tom Cole released a statement saying, he was “pleased to learn that Osama bin Laden has been dealt with in the manner which he deserved.”

Cole said bin Laden’s death “does not signal the end of the struggle against al-Qaida and its allied terrorist organizations.”

Senator Tom Coburn calls bin Laden’s death a tremendous victory for the intelligence services and every branch of the military.
