Report: Okla. Gun Laws Just Above "Do-Nothing" (May 04, 2011)

Oklahoma scored two out of 100 possible points in a scorecard released today by a leading gun-control group.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence report says, quote, “Oklahoma has weak gun laws that help feed the illegal gun market and allow the sale of guns without background checks.”

The state earned its lone points for not forcing colleges to allow firearms on campus. Four other states joined Oklahoma with the two-point score…just above Alaska, Arizona, and Utah. Those three states score of zero put them on the Brady Campaign’s “do-nothing” list.
