Jury in Pharmacist Murder Trial See Video (May 23, 2011)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Jurors in the murder trial of an Oklahoma City pharmacist accused in the shooting death of a teenager during an attempted robbery have seen a video of his initial statement to police.

In the video played Monday, Jerome Ersland says two armed robbers came into the pharmacy and fired at him. But Oklahoma City police Det. David Jacobson testified there is no evidence that 16-year-old Antwun Parker, who was killed by Ersland, was armed.

Jacobson also said there is no evidence anyone, except Ersland, fired shots inside the pharmacy.

Ersland has pleaded not guilty and says he acted in self-defense. Prosecutors say Ersland was justified when he shot Parker in the head and knocked him unconscious, but that he went too far when he shot the teen five more times.
