Assignment Radio Fall 2008 Program 1 (Oct 19, 2008)
Assignment: Radio's new student reporters for the Fall 2008 semester present their first stories about events going on around the OU campus. Logan Layden visits the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in anticipation of an upcoming dinosaur egg exhibit. Not your usual museum experience, this particular exhibit is hands on, allowing children to touch dinosaur egg replicas and even climb in a life size dinosaur nest. Clint Sloan speaks with the University of Oklahoma's Campus Activities Council about what the families of OU students can expect when they visit for Family Day (formerly known as Parent's Day). Graham Lee Brewer takes a trip to Diversafest in Tulsa and tags along with local musician Ryan Lindsey. DFest, as it has come to be known, is a unique opportunity for local musicians to gain industry exposure, play shows with major label recording artists, and take advantage of the workshops and clinics offered by the festivals music conference. And, in Katrina's Corner, Katrina Arnold walks us through a couple campus activities at OU.
