Oklahoma Voices: Fallin's State of the State, Barresi on Education (Aug 08, 2011)
On today's Oklahoma Voices, we bring you audio of two speeches: one from Governor Mary Fallin, the other from State Superintendent Janet Barresi

Governor Fallin addressed the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce July 18, calling her first legislative session as CEO of the state very productive in her long-touted commitment to making Oklahoma a more business-friendly state, and said she plans to use the 2012 session to focus on water and oil and natural gas issues.  Thanks to our colleagues at Public Radio Tulsa for this recording.

Next, we turn our attention to Janet Barresi.  The newly-elected head of public instruction delivered her first State of Education speech last month to about 2,500 people attending a public school administrator's conference in Oklahoma City on July 7th.  Thanks to the State Department of Education for providing that recording to KGOU.
