Doctor Found to be Insane to Stay in Custody (Aug 09, 2011)
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma County judge has ordered a Nichols Hills doctor found not guilty by reason of insanity in the stabbing death of his 9-year-old son to remain in the custody of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

District Judge Donald Deason said Tuesday he had received three reports from the Mental Health Department regarding the status of Stephen Wolf since he was admitted to the Oklahoma Forensic Center on June 8.

One report recommended Wolf's conditional release, the second made no recommendation and the third recommended he remain confined.

Wolf was found not guilty of first-degree murder by reason of insanity in the November 2009 death of Tommy Wolf.

Deason says he never thought it would be appropriate to release Wolf, considering the facts of the case.
