Funeral Held for Fallen Oklahoma Soldier (Aug 25, 2011)

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An estimated 1,500 family, friends and military turned out for funeral services in Edmond for an Oklahoma soldier killed in Afghanistan.

The service was Thursday morning at Henderson Hills Baptist Church for Oklahoma National Guard 1st Lt. Damon Leehan of Moore. The 30-year-old Leehan was killed Aug. 14 when the military vehicle he was riding in was hit by a bomb.

The Oklahoma National Guard has announced funeral plans for two other soldiers who also died recently in Afghanistan.

Services for 21-year-old Spc. Joshua Seals of Porter will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Porter Consolidated High School and services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Madill for 2nd Lt. Joe Cunningham of Kingston.
