Treasurer Looks to Return $350M at State Fair (Sep 13, 2011) OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Treasurer Ken Miller is looking to give away about $350 million. The treasurer says that's how much in unclaimed property is owed to about 600,000 Oklahomans. The treasurer's office will host a booth at this year's Oklahoma State Fair, which begins Thursday in Oklahoma City. Fair patrons can stop by the booth, and state officials will look up their name on a searchable database. Last year, almost $400,000 was found for 570 people who attended the fair. Examples of unclaimed property include old bank accounts, security deposits, old paychecks, royalties, rebates, stocks and bonds. « back |
