Trial of Oklahoma Warden's Wife Nearing End (Sep 13, 2011)

MANGUM, Okla. (AP) - Closing arguments have been delayed until Monday in the trial of a former Oklahoma prison warden's wife accused of assisting a convicted killer's escape.

Greer County prosecutors said Tuesday they need another day to round up rebuttal witnesses to question before closing arguments in the case of Bobbi Parker can be presented to the jury.

The schedule now calls for five or six witnesses to take the stand Wednesday and for jury instructions to be finalized on Thursday. Officials say court will be recess on Friday so that a juror can attend a wedding.

Prosecutors allege Parker fell in love with Randolph Dial and helped him break out of the Oklahoma State Reformatory in 1994.

Her attorneys say Dial kidnapped her and held her hostage for more than a decade.
